See Montréal Harbour, Notre Dame Basilica, one of the crown jewels in Quebec’s rich religious heritage, City Hall, impressive views from Mount Royal Park Lookout, and more, all while learning the history of this beautiful city.

Proving the romance of the train is alive and well in Canada, today you’ll travel in comfort aboard VIA Rail’s inter-city train to Québec City. This route follows the St. Lawrence River and passes from city suburbs to the rural landscapes of forests and rich pastures dotted with tiny villages. From the comfort of your seat you’ll enjoy lunch and views of the rugged Monteregian Hills that seem to loom up from nowhere. These huge volcanic mounds were formed over 120 million years ago and constitute very striking features of the landscape. You’ll also see a myriad of trees along this route, many of which are maple trees that produce the great Canadian staple, maple syrup. Upon arrival in Québec City, the oldest walled city in North America and heart of French Canada, you will be transferred to your hotel.

This morning, explore historic Old Québec City during a guided walking tour. Visit many of the city’s top attractions, including the Fortifications of Québec National Historic Site, Citadel of Québec, Notre-Dame-Des-Victories Church and more. Discover enchanting sights which are part of Québec City’s history from 1608 to the present day, and get to know this UNESCO World Heritage site through educational commentary from your tour director.

Today begins with a short flight from Quebec to Toronto. Canada’s largest and most exciting urban center, Toronto is easy to like. This morning we travel to Niagara falls and enjoy free time or join an optional helicopter tour that truly showcases two of Canada’s greatest treasures - Niagara Falls and Niagara Wineries - from the greatest vantage point available… above it all. Beyond the city limits of Niagara Falls lie the vast picturesque orchards and vineyards of the Niagara Fruit Belt.
