Toronto becomes your playground as you tour many of the cultural and architectural highlights. An excursion to the world-famous Niagara Falls and its sprawling entertainment complex is made unforgettable by the thunderous roar of the Niagara River spilling over the chasm into the turbulent pools below. Continuing on to Montreal, you will see the birthplace of Canadian commerce and industry within the historic sections of the Old City. The skyscrapers give way to the gentle slopes of the Laurentian Mountains as the forest canopy truly springs to life in all its fall splendour. The trip to Ottawa continues to show the season at its peak. Finishing your tour, you travel to the Algonquin wilderness then back to Toronto with the vibrant foliage as your constant companion.

Arrival at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport. Transfer to the hotel for a 3 nights stay. Remainder of the day is at leisure.

A morning will feature a city tour of Toronto, including the downtown and shopping districts, Old and New City Hall, Queen’s Park with the Ontario Legislative Buildings, the University of Toronto campus, the residential areas, the Eaton’s Center, Chinatown and the Harbourfront. A visit to the observation deck of the CN Tower can be made on an optional basis. The afternoon is at leisure for individual exploration of the city or shopping. Overnight in Toronto.

Leaving Toronto this morning, the route will be through Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton to the picturesque and historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Some time will be spent in Niagara-on-the-Lake and then the journey will continue along the scenic Niagara Parkway to Niagara Falls. Here, there is sufficient time to walk alongside the Falls for pictures and to perhaps take in one or two of the attractions, such as the boat ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises - VIP Boat Tour, which sails close to the thundering waterfalls, on an optional basis. In the afternoon, return to Toronto, via the most direct route. Overnight in Toronto

Traveling east, the route will be along the shores of Lake Ontario, through Kingston and the 1,000 islands, where there is the opportunity to take a 1 hour cruise through the islands. In the afternoon, arrival in Montreal, the second-largest French speaking city in the world, for a sightseeing tour. Highlights of the tour will include the financial  and shopping districts of the city, the French Quarter, Old Montreal, Mount Royal, an outside view of the 1976 Olympic Site and optional admission to the Notre Dame Basilica. Overnight in Montreal.

The entire day is at leisure in Montreal, or there is the opportunity to take an optional day excursion to Quebec City, the capital of the province of Quebec and the only walled city north of Mexico. Leaving Montreal, the journey will be via Trois Rivieres and along the Historic King’s Highway, which follows the St. Lawrence Seaway. Upon arrival in Quebec City, there will be a sightseeing tour, with local guide, featuring highlights such as the Chateau Frontenac with the Dufferin Terrace, the Fortifications, the narrow streets, Upper and Lower Town, Place Royale, the Plains of Abraham and other points of interest. There will be some free time in Quebec City before returning to Montreal via the most direct route. Overnight in Montrea

Departing from Montreal this morning, the route will be northwest of the city into the Laurentian wilderness of Quebec. This region embraces rugged hills, deep valleys, dense forests and a myriad of lakes, streams, rivers and falls. It is a popular get-a-way for Montreal residents in the summer and a thriving ski area in winter. Overnight in the Laurentians in St-Sauveur-des-Monts or Ste-Agathe-des-Monts.

A leisurely journey along the north shore of the Ottawa River, through small towns and villages, such as Montebello, to Ottawa, Canada’s Capital. Upon arrival in Ottawa, there will be a sightseeing tour of the city, including the Parliament Buildings, the Supreme Court of Canada, embassy row, the Rideau Canal, the residence of the Prime Minister, the many museums and parks and many other highlights. There will be some free time in the afternoon for personal exploration of the city, or to perhaps visit one of the many fine museums on an optional basis. Overnight in Ottawa.

Depart Ottawa for Huntsville, and Algonquin Park, Ontario’s first Provincial Park. In the park, the full splendour of the fall colours can be viewed. Visits will include the Algonquin Logging Exhibit, which depicts life at an early Canadian logging camp and the Algonquin Visitors Centre, which features numerous exhibits, particularly of the wildlife, which can be found in the park. Continue on to Huntsville for a 2 nights stay. Overnight in Huntsville.

A full day at leisure, or optional touring in Muskoka to view the lakes and the beauty of the fall colours. Visits to some of the many artists’ studios in the area, including weavers, glass blowers and potters, as well as cruise on the 100 year old steamship the RMS Segwun can also be made. Overnight in Huntsville.

Leaving Huntsville late this morning, the journey will be south through the Muskoka Lakes District to Toronto and Lester Pearson International Airport for the return flight.
