Bohol Island Holiday Experience

8 Nights

Bohol & Panglao Island

Situated in the heart of southern Philippines, Bohol is a throbbing island province with rolling terrains of hills, crystal springs, verdant rivers and beaches. And while natural beauty is the heart of the land, its very soul is its rich history, replete with ancestral homes and centuries-old churches.

The country's tenth largest island, Bohol is situated at the heart of Visayas. West of Bohol is Cebu, and to the east is Leyte. The Chocolate Hills is but one of the many natural wonders to be found in Bohol. The province is the home of the world's smallest monkey, the tarsier. The size of a fist, the tarsier lives on hills of Corella, some ten kilometers from Tagbilaran. Other exotic flora and fauna can be found amongst the forest of Bohol.

Bohol's various mountainous and water formations also serve as a natural playground for the adventurous tourist. One can cruise the rivers, hike up the hills, swim the deep waters, or just stroll down the avenues.

Loboc River Cruise

Loboc is known for its floating restaurants along its scenic and winding river. Each floating restaurant holds about 20-25 people . This fascinating boat ride starts from Loay Bridge which is the outlet of the river, moves along the serene waters and palm-fringed banks inland, and ends near the Busay waterfalls. The boat takes about 45 minutes to reach the end, where it will stop for a while so guests can enjoy the view. Afterwards, the boat turns around and makes its way back downstream.

The river is clean and green during summer, and turns brown during the rainy season. But it doesn’t really matter what time of the year you decide to go here, as fresh air, scrumptious food, and a completely unique experience has no season!

Enjoy the day at your leisure.

Board a motorised outrigger boat going to Pamilacan Island. The boat's crews are former whale hunters who now work as "whale spotters". They are the ones who spot whales and dolphins for the boat to follow and the tourists to see. Several species of dolphins including the playful spinner dolphins are considered inhabitants in the area. At least six different species of whales (toothed and baleen) are also seen in between March to June. The toothed whales are reportedly sighted during February to November while the baleen whales are sighted from February to August.

This trip includes a walking tour around the island to see how the local fisherfolks live. The sandy shore with its clear and pristine water is so inviting it is a must to bring sun protection lotion. The island's fish sanctuary is also a good place for swimming and snorkeling. A picnic lunch of fresh seafood prepared by the local womenfolks' association is served al fresco.
