After the lunch, travel to the picturesque medieval town Trogir and catch a glimpse of its beauty at the impressive Cathedral of St Lawrence. Later, continue your adventure to Zadar, a historic town full of medieval churches, cosmopolitan cafes and, most importantly, a wealth of Roman ruins, all set on a small peninsula on the stunning Dalmatian Coast. Start your fourth day with breakfast at the hotel and then head out for a city tour of Zadar. Stroll the charming streets of this small town and visit the Roman Forum, one of Zadar’s most important landmarks. Constructed between the 1st century B.C and the 3rd century A.D., these impressive ruins, just steps away from the waterfront, offer a glimpse of how Roman life would have been in Zadar. Unlike in many other cities, the myriad of temples, arches, and columns in Zadar centre mainly remain in their original layout, seeming to spring up from the city’s streets as you wander around. Then, visit St Donatus Church, a magnificent example of Romanesque architecture from the early Middle Ages. The simple and unadorned interior of St Donatus Church includes two Roman columns, recycled from the Forum. Enjoy lunch in one of Zadar’s hip cafés. Wake up to breakfast at the hotel, then venture out on a morning city tour of Zagreb.
