Guests departing from Hanoi should leave at 9:00 AM for a private transfer or between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM for the shuttle bus, arriving at Tuan Chau Marina around 12:00 PM. Transportation services are available upon request.

Upon boarding, guests are introduced to the facilities as the cruise sets sail into Halong Bay. The journey begins with a serene experience on the sun deck, offering breathtaking views of the bay’s stunning scenery. The cruise arrives at Cua Van, one of the last remaining floating fishing villages in Halong Bay, where some families and fishermen continue their traditional fishing and aquaculture activities. A local rower navigates a bamboo boat through the floating village, allowing visitors to observe daily life in this secluded area. For those seeking a more active experience, kayaks are available for rent, providing an opportunity to explore the bay at their own pace.

Cua Van also houses the Cua Van Cultural Center, where local residents preserve and share the village’s rich history. The center features archaeological artifacts and photographs that illustrate the heritage of Cua Van. From there, a tender transports guests to Tien Ong Cave, a site of historical significance with evidence of human civilization dating back to 10,000–8,000 BC. Fossil remains within the cave suggest that it was once part of the mainland before Halong Bay transformed into the marine wonder seen today. The cave extends 50 meters deep and covers approximately 1,000 square meters. Guided by an expert, visitors explore the cavern while learning fascinating details about its history.

After returning to the vessel, the cruise sails toward the overnight mooring area. As the sun sets during the enchanting "blue hour," Halong Bay reveals its most magical beauty. Guests can relax on the sun deck with a refreshing drink, fully immersing themselves in the tranquil surroundings. During this time, the onboard chef presents a demonstration of classic Vietnamese dishes, inviting guests to participate and take home easy yet flavorful recipes.

Following a brief period of relaxation, dinner is served. Those cruising aboard Heritage Line Jasmine can indulge in a terrace deck barbecue feast accompanied by a buffet or set menu. Guests on the luxurious Heritage Line Violet are treated to an à la carte menu featuring a selection of delectable international and local cuisine.

For those eager to deepen their knowledge of Halong Bay, the onboard guide offers an engaging presentation about the bay’s unique and intriguing history after dinner. Alternatively, guests can participate in a fun-filled squid fishing activity, guided by the ship’s staff.

The evening is best spent unwinding, savoring the enchanting landscapes, and cherishing the extraordinary experience before drifting into a peaceful sleep in the heart of Halong Bay—a place where, according to legend, heavenly dragons once scattered glistening jewels into the sea.

Heritage Line Violet Halong Bay Cruise

Violet is Heritage Line’s most coquettish French-Indochinese designed luxury vessel. Gleaming wooden flooring, opulent silks, and velvet, selected artifacts and ornaments are distinct appearances of this small Art-Deco ship. Being ‘one-of-a-kind’ sailing the Halong Bay in the Gulf of Tonkin, she grants the highest level of privacy to its residents.

For early risers, tea, coffee, and pastries are available in the dining room. A Tai Chi class is offered on the sun deck, providing a gentle way to awaken both mind and body. In the morning, the cruise sets sail toward the small yet scenic Ti Top Island. Originally named Cat Nang, the island was renamed in 1962 following a visit by former Vietnamese president Ho Chi Minh and Russian astronaut German Titov, the second man to orbit the Earth. Deeply captivated by the island’s beauty, Titov’s admiration led President Ho to rename it Ti Top Island in his honor, symbolizing the friendship between their nations.

Upon arrival, guests have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing morning swim on the sandy beach, nestled beneath towering rock formations. For those seeking a more active experience, a 400-step stone staircase leads to the island’s peak, offering a rewarding 360-degree view of Halong Bay. A viewing platform located halfway up also provides a scenic vantage point framed by lush greenery—an ideal spot for photographs.

Back on board, guests can freshen up with a shower before savoring the final moments of the cruise. As the vessel makes its way back to the harbor, breakfast is served. Until reaching the pier, guests can unwind on the sun deck or in the dining room, taking in the last breathtaking views of this iconic seascape.
